Are you planning, or hoping to plan, an international trip for work or personal reasons? MIT faculty, staff, postdocs, students, and family members have an ever-mobile global presence. While fun and exciting, travel also can present inconveniences and risks that can be avoided with thoughtful preparation.  This seminar will look into state-of-the-art—and scientifically proven—ways to prepare for safe travel, in order to work, explore, meet people, and have fun abroad. In addition, we will cover the resources available to you through MIT, including access to information and advice for adequate preparation, and assistance returning home quickly if there is an unexpected or disruptive event. The MIT Program for International Safety and Security offers many travel safety services to the MIT community.
