Introduction to Travel and Expense

This class provides an overview of MIT’s travel policies, a demonstration on using Concur, MIT's electronic travel booking and expense reporting system, and information about using MIT’s preferred travel agencies, airlines, car rental companies, and hotels. Designed for anyone who travels on MIT business, processes travel expenses, and/or makes travel arrangements.

Please register online. Walk-ins are also welcome.

 

Time to opt in or opt out of the new MIT Travel Card Agreement

VPF recently announced a new policy for expense reporting requirements for the MIT Travel Card. This announcement was followed by an email on November 29, 2016, from Kathleen McGrath, Assistant Director of Travel and Procurement Operations at VPF, with instructions on how to opt in or out of the new Agreement, and a customized link for cardholders to actually sign the opt in or out document.

Introduction to travel and expense

The Introduction to Travel & Expense course is intended to apply to all individuals who either travel on official Institute business, and prepare expense reports, or make travel arrangements. It includes information about MIT’s preferred travel agencies, airline, car rental companies, and hotels. In addition, an overview of the MIT’s Travel Policy, and a demonstration to the electronic travel booking and reporting system.
