Employee Resource Groups
Employee Resource Groups are employee-led groups formed around common interests, issues and/or a common bond or background. ERG members create a positive work environment at MIT by actively contributing to the Institute's mission, values and efforts specific to inclusion, such as recruitment and retention. All of MIT's ERGs are open to any employee. Current groups that have been formed focus on the interests including African, Black, American, Carribean topics; Asian Pacific American topics; Latino topics; and Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay, and Transgender (LBGT) topics. Administrative Advisory Council II
Administrative Advisory Council II is intended to establish a forum for thoughtful, sustained interaction among representatives of central administration and administrators from academic departments, research labs and centers, to enhance communication and to foster effective working relationships among all administrators. IT Partners is an Institute-wide network of technical support providers sponsored by Information Services and Technology (IS&T). IT Partners collaborte with IS&T to coordinate, educate, and support the MIT community in using information technology. A highlight of the year is the IT Partners annual full day conference, open to the MIT community and full of valuable training and information sessions.
MIT Activities Committee (MITAC)
MITAC is a group associated with MIT’s employee benefit program, providing community members access to a spectrum of activities that educate, inspire, entertain, and otherwise enhance the quality of life at MIT. Members of the community, with a valid MIT ID, may purchase tickets (often discounted!) to movies, museums, sports, recreational activities, and cultural and family events. Training Partners is an Institute-wide network of employees who do training at MIT. The goal of Training Partners is to create a collaborative community of Institute trainers and to improve training at MIT by providing training-related activities and programs. The Training Partners Network is open to MIT employees regardless of the amount of time someone spends training.
Working Group on Support Staff Issues
The Working Group on Support Staff Issues consists of Support and Administrative Staff throughout the Institute who work to address issues of concern to support staff employees at MIT. The group acts to improve the working environment for Support Staff at MIT through activities including providing networking opportunities and sponsoring events.
